Have you considered adding mindfulness to your day? Recently this question was considered on Quantum Leap Book Club, hosted by Elder Parisha Taylor. Your first reaction to this question might be, “Are you crazy? I am so busy I can’t add another thing!” Or may your reaction to this question might be, “Well, I have been thinking about it.” Or it could be, “Yes, I have but I don’t know where to start!”
The book Mindfulness by Tessa Watt was brought to QLBC by Grandmother Parisha. This book is a practical guide to learning how to become mindful and understanding the benefits that mindfulness has on the body, emotions, mind, and spirit. Grandmother Parisha speaks of the benefits of mindfulness in many of her teachings. She shares that this is a practice and journey for one to become who they have truly come to be and that spending time in mindfulness will lead to greater awareness of all things. She encourages all to get the book Mindfulness and not just read it once, but do the practice and read the book over and over to truly take it in.
Here are some of my thoughts on mindfulness. Mindfulness does not take extra time. In fact, the relaxed feeling of staying present seems to me to expand time. The mind stops racing, focus increases, and productivity increases as well. So, stop thinking about it, and do something about it. Learn to take seconds or just a few minutes in your day to be present, mindful, and joy-filled. And if you don’t know where to start, begin with this book Mindfulness by Tessa Watt, and better yet, listen to Parisha Taylor and co-hosts Quantum Leap Book Club on Law of Attraction Radio Network as they discuss this book and many other topics.
