I want to share with you a story that happened to me.
In the spring of 2013, I was on my way to school. One of the main roads I take is just a one-lane, going each way. I was behind a white mini-van that was behind a black truck going 20 to 25 mph in a 50 mph zone. So I waited until I had a yellow dotted line and then proceeded to start to pass the white van. When my front bumper was even with the van’s back tires, the van moved into the lane that I was in. I shimmied onto the soft shoulder to avoid being hit by the van. I then sped up to pass the van that almost hit me. When I came off of the soft shoulder, I fish-tailed and lost control of the car that I was driving. This caused me to pass in front of the van and the truck and go nose first into a deep ditch, which caused my car to flip over, and proceeded to continue on for a little more on the roof of the car that was now the floor.
I remember thinking just as I started to fishtail and head into the ditch, was just “Grandmothers and Grandfathers, be with me.” I then closed my eyes and felt the car flip and keep moving until it came to a stop. When I opened my eyes, I was hanging upside down in my seat by my seatbelt. The first thing I did was I moved my legs to make sure that they were fine. I then turned the car off and braced myself with one arm as I unlocked my seatbelt and dropped down to my roof which was now my floor. When I looked around, my driver-side window was gone and the front window was missing the half that was in front of me. I then got this feeling that I needed to get out of the car right away. Because of how deep the ditch was, there was no way to go out from either door. So what I did, was I popped my trunk and climbed into my back seat, folded down the back seat, and then climbed out of my trunk. I was out of the car before any of the emergency response people got there.
I was very lucky and blessed because I walked away from that with only three bruises and two cuts. The car ended up being totaled because the back axle was bent in half and all the damage to the front and top of the car. I passed the year mark for the crash in April, and have been feeling a very big need to share it with you.
Please, feel free to share this with people because I know that this story would not have ended as it did without the Grandmothers and Grandfathers. Lots of Love always,
Clarity

It is good to share as it helps others to know we are never alone and that we see that ever-abiding presence of love spoken of in many sacred names at such times of challenge. The point here is you are in my heart always!! And I am so blessed with the women you have grown up to be!!! You compliment your Mother and all Women. Beauty and grace always!!
