In my many years of experience, I have had in the medical field and in life, I have observed that the more detailed information that is given to an individual, the less the information is utilized for improved health. My purpose in the column of health tips is to offer very basic information in a simplified form in hopes that what I offer will have an impact.

The human brain is comprised of close to 85 percent water and requires a sufficient daily intake of water to function properly. Dehydration can cause impairment to the attention span, short-term memory, long-term memory, and mathematical abilities. This list does not even include health issues.

We lose about 10-15 cups of water per day from urine, breathing, sweating, and bowel movements. We even lose 1-2 liters from just breathing!

The best scenario is to drink a gallon of water daily. The rewards are numerous. So DRINK UP!  You will love the benefits you will experience!
